Vinyl Edition Artwork

The drawing is provided by Katharina Luksch, a fellow Balboa dancer who created the dance couple pictured on the record. We really like the drawing, as it pictures how indiviual, imperfect-perfect every dance, every song is.
The general artwork was done by Irma Tulek, who did a great job to merge the big amount of information and graphical lightness.
The sleeve paper has been hand-picked to add a sensual feeling.

Making off Vinyl Edition

It all started back in Summer 2019, when we went into phase one by selecting the songs and selecting the right partner for this project: Austrovinyl in Fehring, Styria/Austria. Johann Fauster and Peter Wendler became “partners in crime”, proving a lot of patience and stamina to find analogue ways to freshly “digitize” the songs. The actual recording session happened in January 2020, with hours of patient recording, careful listening and adjusting. The final record was ready and delivered in March 2020 – on time for the Vienna Balboa & Laminu Experience, but then Sars-Covid-2 changed the world.
