DESCRIPTION:This autumn\, we are trying to offer a new concept that goes a bit beyond just learning a move or technique.\nWe want to address skills that are often way harder to develop\, but that are crucial to the improvement of your dancing.\nTherefore: Welcome to our Beyond Dance Lessons!\nThe concept of the classes include both dance technique/moves AND input that aims towards your personality development\, including coaching techniques\, that might help you also in your life beyond dancing. \nTuesday\, 18.30 – 19.30:\nBlock 1: FEEDBACK & LISTENING: September 24 – October 15\, 2024 (4 weeks):\nIn Balboa\, we are “listening” to each other’s movement all the time due to the closed connection. But do we really listen? And how can we provide feedback in a better way? The level is mixed\, as those skills apply to dancers of any maturity level.\nThe “Dance” Part of this track: Getting better in your following and leading\, therefore being more able to apply your learned moves and style variations to your dance.\nThe “Beyond” Part of this track: Improving your ability to interact with each other and learning techniques to provide feedback\, hopefully in a less theoretical and more practical way. \nBlock 2: FAST TECHNIQUE: October 22 – November 12\, 2024 (4 weeks):\nThis block is suitable for dancers who want to get better with fast tempos. Level starts with a minimum of Balboa basics and goes up to “Advanced”\, but with lack of fast skills.\nThe “Dance” Part of this track: Weight-shift and “leg work” technique\, posture.\nThe “Beyond” Part of this track: Setting and improving a mind-set that might help you to deal with stressful situations. \nBlock 3: FOLLOWER ACADEMY – Chapter 1: Solo Skills: November 19 – December 10\, 2024 (4 weeks):\nFor ages\, we wanted to offer a program aimed to particularly improve the skills of followers. Finally\, it’s time.\nIn the first chapter\, we will work on your solo skills. ).\nLevel: All! – Leaders are welcome as well.\nThe “Dance” Part of this track: Working on your independence as dancer (posture\, balance and stability\, up to musicality and the technique of a “step” in Balboa\nThe “Beyond” Part of this track: Muscular core work\, improved mindset of reflected self-confidence.
